Refashion a knit dress into a collar and skirt.

 I started out with this size 3x sweater dress.  Wayyy to big and way to short.

 I cut out around the collar like this and just hemmed the edges of it. It is sweater knit so you have to sew around it immediately after cutting it and be careful not to stretch it too much. It did not unravel at all though.  This was a new dress given to me and the price tag on it was $49.00

 then I cut the skirt out  as high as I could and tapered it in because it was so wide I could go clear to the under arm seam. It only took about 30 minutes and now you have it. !  I got lots of compliments on it this last weekend.
