Girl's Dress from Lady's T Shirt

Darling dress and matching little purse and hair band from 1 ladies T shirt.  I just couldn't wait to meet this challenge so this was finished before breakfast.  Less than an hour to make with all three pieces.
Here is the shirt above. The stitched flowers on it are so pretty. I wanted to keep them in the dress the best that I could.

I folded the shirt in half and cut out the shape of the dress with a neckline large enough that I could put elastic in it.  I just kept the sleeves seam and cut that shape out.  You can lay a shirt down that fits the child and if you want the neck bigger just bring it in a couple of inches from the center line to make it wider.

Above is the piece I had left over.  the flower was on the back of the shirt neck.  Hmmm.  It would make a cute little bib I decided to fold it in half and sew it up from inside out and then turn it to have the cute little shoulder bag you see below.  then I sewed the strips that remained together and stretched elastic in it for make a hair band.

One happy little girl and mommy. :)
