My friend, Joyce, made these darling rompers from a great shirt she bought at the thrift store for $2.00.
1-Using the front of the shirt for the front of the rompers made the button and buttonhole process automatic. She only had to do the top button.
2-She made the appliques herself from scraps (very talented and skilled but you can do it too using under wonder, then stitch the ironed on applique, fun!).
3- The back is so cute with the little yoke.
The pattern is from Martha Pullan's book "Precious baby day-gowns. square yoke collections with bubbles, bonnets, bibs & more. She modified the front, eliminating the pleats and gathers so it looks more boy-like. The pattern book is available from Sew Beautiful. She has had her pattern for about 5 years. It has master patterns in it.
