Pocket Purses

These handy pocket purses are easy to make if you follow the steps.
Cut around back pocket of pants leaving about 3/4" to 1" margin around it.
Use that piece for a pattern for the back of the pocket from the back of the leg of the pants the use a scrap or even easier is to use the sleeve from a man's shirt.  that way the edge is finished as you use the hem of the sleeve.
Now top stitch the lining to the top of the zipper.  This zipper is from a pair of pants.  You can use whatever you have.
Now pin the pocket and the back to the top of the lining fabric.
Fold back the lining fabric so it is  together and the denim together.  pin
Place where you want the loop.  It is just a strip folded and stitched.  and slip it inside the pocket as below.
then turn and top stitch.
Now stitch around but leave half of one side of the denim open.    then turn
