Laundry Bag from Shirt

This makes the perfect graduation gift for the student who is going away from home.
I composed the little rhyme and printed this picture out and cut a slit in the top so that it fits over a button on the front of the shirt. I reinforced the back where the slit would be with tape.

1-Lay the shirt out flat making sure there are no wrinkles underneath
2- Cut straight down from the shoulder to the hem.
3- If there is a pleat in the back pin it together about half way down
4- Sew up the sides and bottom
This is what you will have

There you have it.  The perfect laundry bag.  Just put the clothes in the top and open the buttons from the bottom up to get them out.
The bigger laundry bags are made from an Extra Large shirt.
