Fitting a dress with a slouchy neckline.

From a big and slouchy to perfect fit. this dress was took long in the neck and the skirt.
So we
1: took out the sleeves by trimming the edge of the serger stitches on the sleeves and then they pull open like a stitched  flour sack.
2: Stitched in the shoulder seam to the desired line we marked.
3: Took the in sleeve on the under arm seam.
4: Pinned the sleeves in and sewed around the opening.
5: Cut off the extra length and hemmed it.
You can see that it was way too big in the neck.

Here we are pulling the thread on the sleeve and it is coming undone like a flour sack.

Sewing the underarm seam on the sleeve.
