The Sandwich Purse

This handy little "Sandwich Purse" invention began a long time ago and I have had one for ten years.  It holds all the little things you need to have with you in your car, your purse or travel bag.  They are so  sew easy to make!
Sandwich Purse
Here is the finished little purse.  So awesome and handy!
six to eight snack bags or sandwich bags, Two pieces of heavy or quilted fabric .  Cut the fabric two inches wider than your bags and double plus 3 or 4 inches of the depth of your bags.
Tape the bags on the lining fabric so they won't slip while you sew them on.  overlap them in the center and sew a zig zag seam across.  the zig zag stitches will keep it from ripping out/.
This is the tab.  sew it in a tube and turn it with a pin.  them hem the bottom and insert the other end in the middle of the bag with right sides together.

Sew the bag together like this leaving the bottom  to turn it.
Top stitch around the bag.  Sew on snaps and a decorative button.  There you have it!  You can vary this by sewing a ribbon at the bottom of the bag and wrapping it around and tying it.  Later I will post some more cute designs.  If you want to really be quick just use a hot pad and sew the bags in it and put a button on so that you can bring the loop around and button it shut.

Ideas of what to put in them
For the glove box of your car:
scissors, sewing kit, safety pins, vitamin, pills lozenges, band aids, pen paper comb alcohol pad plastic spoons.

You may also like to use it for a make-up bag.
It makes a great bag for organizing jewelry for travel.
How about a teacher's bag with chalk, eraser, pencils, paper, sticky tabs, masking tape, scotch tape, breath mints, comb, mirror and even a little treat for your students
